Constance joined jamesthomas in the spring of 2004 as a design intern.  She quickly became invaluable to the growing firm and became a full-time member of the team in October of that same year.  Constance is involved in all aspects of the design process, from programming through project implementation.  Constance is also an effective and efficient project manager.  A native of Germany, she brings with her a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to design, not to mention a great fashion sense.  Prior to jamesthomas, Constance was a Sales Associate at Marshall Field’s Interior Design Studio.  She is a graduate of Harrington College with a B.A. in Interior Design.  Constance and her husband and daughter live on the north side of Chicago.

Originally hired while she was finishing up at Harrington College, Suzan completed her degree in the summer of 2006 and has been working with jamesthomas since. With a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio Art and Art History from the University of Vermont, Suzan brings with her a wealth of knowledge and talent as well as a keen understanding of the use of color, texture and materials. She has proven to be a wonderful team player. A former champion equestrian, she has exposed the firm to the proper use of animal print fabrics and tartan plaids. Suzan, her husband and their two pups, Violet and Whiskey, live in Hyde Park.

Jenny joined the jamesthomas team as an intern while taking classes at Harrington College of Design in 2007. Since graduating, Jenny has become an integral part of our little family. A native of southern California and a graduate of The University of North Carolina, Charlotte, Jenny offers a unique perspective on design. Her previous experience at Jane Boatwright Interiors and Circa Interiors and Antiques (both in Charlotte) provided Jenny with a crisp understanding of the retail side of design. While at jamesthomas Jenny has developed wonderful client relation skills and a keen understanding of space planning, furniture and fabric selection. Jenny had her 15 minutes of fame when her own bathroom was featured on HGTV’s "I Want That Bath". Jenny, her husband and their dogs, Cooper and Bella, live in Bucktown.

Emily joined our team in the May of 2010. A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Interior Design, Emily spent two years working for Susan Fredman Design Group in Chicago. While employed there, she assisted project managers and lead designers with all aspects of the design process from selection to ordering to implementation. Her projects were high end residential projects throughout the Mid-west and Chicagoland. Prior to her stint at Susan Fredman, Emily worked for Duncan Fuller Interiors in Birmingham, Michigan (Tom Riker’s home town!). Her experiences have provided jamesthomas’ clients a strong background in selecting luxe fabrics and furnishings paired with an ability to work within a strict budget. Emily is a Streeterville resident who is enthusiastically planning her upcoming wedding.

Our latest edition to the team, Erin brings with her a wealth of wonderful experience. A 2001 graduate of Michigan State University, Erin is a native of the Traverse City area in northern Michigan. After graduating from MSU, Erin relocated to Arizona and worked for Hart Interior Design. More recently she worked with Branca Interiors after a five year run at Tom Stringer Design Partners. Erin’s years of experience have been a huge asset while at jamesthomas. She has provided the team with wonderful industry contacts and taught us a few tricks! Erin, her husband and two young sons live in Lincoln Park. Jack has a new little brother, Wallace, who arrived in November.
