Located in one of Chicago’s earliest loft conversion projects, this unit was in desperate need of remodeling.  jamesthomas’ full design services were utilized, including architectural design, lighting, space planning, custom furniture design, finishes and furnishings.  The client wanted to enhance the open feel of this 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit, while adding some classic architectural detailing.  The kitchen was opened to a newly created media area that allows for casual entertaining.  A more formal living space was centered on the fireplace and an adjacent dining area has the ability to seat 14 guests.  The master bedroom was enlarged and given a private, hotel-inspired, dressing area and generous bathroom.  The guest bedroom was painted a deep brown hue and appointed with custom bedding and draperies.  Custom furniture pieces throughout mixed with unique accents creates a truly one-of-a-kind loft space.
