The renovation of this 4,500 square foot penthouse unit involved gutting most of the existing space providing a much needed facelift to this unique single floor condo. The goal was to create a dynamic space that mixed the raw feel of an urban loft with the sleek feel of a contemporary gallery space. Concrete floors and walls are juxtaposed with white lacquered millwork and pop art inspired floral wall covering. An amazing collection of contemporary art pieces provides high drama against a serene and calming interior backdrop. The furniture and furnishings reflect the client’s love of clean lines and bold colors, with a bit of whimsy thrown in for shock value. An ‘S’ shaped sectional sofa fills the extensive living space and provides intimate seating areas in an otherwise cavernous room. Floor to ceiling windows are left unadorned or are simply dressed in order to take advantage of the stunning 360o city views and the wrap around terraces. |
