This
gut renovation of a 1,300 square foot residence is
located in Mies van der Rohe’s historic building located
on West Diversey Parkway. The central design
element is a translucent core that houses the master
bathroom, dressing area and closets. Extruded aluminum
and laminated glass sliding doors penetrate the core
creating the division between the private and public
spaces. The finish materials were limited to the use of
carrera marble, sapelli wood veneer and stainless steel
to create a harmonious and unified environment.
