Located in the prestigious Carlyle Building, jamesthomas was integral in re-designing the entire floorplan for this 2,500 square foot unit.  Originally a one-bedroom, two and one-half bath condominium, the new owner wanted to update the layout to match his lifestyle and to respond to current market demands.  jamesthomas was able to carve out two bedrooms and provide two full bathrooms.  Other thoughtful amenities include a cozy master dressing area with sapelli millwork and a small home office that was tucked into the existing service hall.  The updated kitchen features an inviting corner dining banquette with views towards the lake. Vintage inspired trim details are integrated throughout the space creating the transitional feel desired by the client.  Soft colors of French grey, khaki and light blue with accents of crisp, white millwork permeate the living areas.  Bolder, darker colors such as navy, tan and chocolate envelope the two bedrooms creating sanctuaries that feel timeless yet fresh and modern for a young client.  Look for a profile of this residence in upcoming issues of Renovation Style and Lake Magazine.
